The Academic Guidance Committee provides career counseling to students and assists students throughout their academic years at the college.
Before enrolling in the College of Engineering, a scientific presentation is held for the preparatory year student. A representative from the three scientific colleges (College of Science, College of Computer Science, and College of Engineering) presents some basic information about their college (departments, type of study, field of work, etc.). All preparatory year students are invited to this exhibition.
For students of the College of Engineering, a welcoming ceremony is arranged every semester for new students and the department coordinator gives a lecture about his department (plan, jobs, field of work, faculty members, job opportunity).
During the academic year, many seminars/lectures were held on some technical topics (software, technology, graduate studies, scholarships, maintenance, etc.) to increase students' skills.
Special programs were held for prospective graduate students (how to write professional CVs, identify internship opportunities, conduct personal interviews, how to get graduate scholarships, how to prepare a measurement test, prepare for interviews, and develop job search strategies).
