College Vice Dean for Academic Affairs: Dr. Abdulrahman bin Dhaif Allah Al-Jabri


He is a faculty member responsible for supervising the educational process for students at the undergraduate level, implementing approved policies and programs in the areas of student affairs and auxiliary educational services, and achieving the goals set for them. The Vice Dean is also linked to the Dean of the College.

Duties of the College Vice Dean for Academic Affairs:

1- Supervising the implementation of the regulations and executive rules of the University Studies and Examinations Regulations.

2- Supervising the units affiliated with Academic Affairs.

3- Supervising the preparation of study schedules for students in the academic departments and coordinating with other colleges in cooperation with the Deanship of Admission and Registration and the Study Schedules Committee.

4- Supervising the distribution of students to the various departments of the college in coordination with the departments.

5- Supervising the progress of the final exams and forming their committees, in coordination with the academic departments and the Deanship of Admission and Registration.

6- Supervising the implementation of admission and transfer controls to and from the college and between academic departments.

7- Supervising the work of the Student Affairs Committee and the Student Extracurricular Activities Committees.

8- Chairing the committees affiliated with the agency and submitting their reports to the relevant authorities.

9- Supervising the process of equivalence of academic courses.

10- Supervising requests for postponement and apology for study, as well as deletion and addition processes for undergraduate students in accordance with the regulations and decisions issued in this regard.

11- Supervising the preparation of deprivation lists and graduate lists.

12- Supervising the activities of the college orientation week.

13- Guiding and counseling students and resolving issues related to academic achievement.

14- Submitting periodic reports to the Dean of the College on the progress of work in the units affiliated with him according to the tasks assigned to him and the difficulties they face.

15- Coordinating with the college units in related fields.

16- Supervising the financial affairs and the covenants allocated to the agency and its programs in accordance with the regulations and systems.

17- Carrying out the work of the College Council Secretariat.

18- Follow up on updating the college website regarding his agency and its administrative units.

19- Implementing the tasks assigned to him by the Dean of the College.


Powers of the College Vice Dean for Academic Affairs:

1- Approval of students' apologies for the semester in accordance with the regulations and systems.

2- Approval of transferring students from one major to another in accordance with the regulations and systems.

3- Approval of the academic schedules submitted by the academic departments of the college.

4- Forming and approving the student activities committees in the college.

5- Approval of increasing the number of students in the departments in coordination with the relevant departments and the Deanship of Admission and Registration.

6- Approval of extension requests, re-enrollment and alternative exams in accordance with the regulations governing this.

7- Approval of deprivation lists and raising them in accordance with the regulations and systems.

8- Adjudicating student excuses cases as needed in accordance with the regulations and systems.

9- Selecting supervisors of the units and departments affiliated with him and recommending their appointment.

10- Addressing the relevant parties within the university in the jurisdiction and scope of the agency's work.

11- Issuing internal decisions required by the workflow in the college agency and its units in accordance with the regulations and systems.

12- Evaluating the performance of the agency's employees.

13- Approving regular and emergency leave for employees of the agency's units.

14- Approving spending from the agency's budget and treasury in accordance with the organizing regulations.

15- Approving the opening of new branches based on the request of the relevant departments.
