College of Shariah
The college was established in the same year in which the university was established on the twenty-fifth of the third month of the year 1381 AH by Royal Decree No. (11) in which the statute of the Islamic University was approved. The statute of the Islamic University included in its seventh article that the university consists of two sections, high and secondary, And the higher section is the first nucleus of the college, which later bore the name (College of Sharia). The study began on 2/6/1381 AH with a number of (85 students), and the number of its students currently exceeds 7,500 students. For more: See the introductory brochure in the box Know your rights
College of the Holy Qur'an
The College of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic Studies is the first of its kind in the Islamic world, as no other than the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has ever established such a college before, with a distinguished admission condition of fully memorizing the Holy Qur’an by those who wish to join it. It was established by Royal Decree No. (26511) dated 6/9/1394 AH, in the blessed month of Ramadan based on the recommendation of the Supreme Advisory Council of the university held from 12/4/1394 AH to 20/4/1394 AH. On Monday, 6/10/1394 AH, 21 students began their studies and the numbers increased over the years to graduate a total 1524 students from 75 countries by 1435 AH / 1436 AH.
College of the Noble Hadith
On 6/23/1396 AH, Royal Decree No. (15653) approved the establishment of the College of Hadith and Islamic Studies started teaching in two Academic departments, the departments of Hadith Sciences and Sunnah Fiqh and its Sources. It is concerned with graduating worldwide scholars in the Prophet’s Sunnah and its disciplines via esteemed and renowned faculty in the field, awarding bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees.
College of Creed and Islamic Propagation
The College of Dawah and Usuluddeen is concerned with providing quality education in Aqidah and da`wah, and qualifying specialists in it. Our main goal is to spread Islam and serve the local and global community. Moreover, The college has several academic programs in the following stages: Bachelor's degree (Aqidah and Religions) -diploma -Master's -PhD
College of Law and Economics
The College of Law and Judicial Studies was established by the Royal Decree on Administrative Decision No. (57420) dated 20/01/1440 AH, by entitlement, His Excellency the President of the University’s review of the Council of Higher Education and Universities issued by the royal decree No. ( 8 / m) dated 04/06/1414 AH, based on Council of Higher Education’s decision No. (15/19) dated 05/29/1439 AH, and General Committee of the Council of Ministers’ recommendation No. (4738) dated 10/10/1439 AH backed by the Council of Experts in the Council of Ministers’ approval No. (1300) dated 9/23/1439 AH. Hence, the Law and Judiciary Departments in the College of Sharia were transformed into the College of law and Judicial Studies to include the Department of Law and the Department of Judicial Studies.
College of Computing and Information Systems
The career of the Faculty of Computer and Information Systems began in 1434 AH, 2013, and since then, the college has been keen during its career on the quality of its specialized programs in the fields of computer science, information technology and information system. This march culminated in the college obtaining the academic accreditation of engineering and technology ABET for its three bachelor's degree programs, namely the Computer Science Program, the Information Technology Program, and the Information Systems Program.The college is keen to provide an integrated educational and knowledge environment. The unique knowledge and cultural diversity are one of the most prominent features of the college, as the number of nationalities of faculty members and students is more than 30 nationalities, and this is integrated with the vision of the Islamic University in Medina in serving societies with a full commitment to excellence and inclusiveness.Moreover, the college seeks to develop its research partnerships with the local and global community, according to a growing research plan and aspiration to lead in this field, which has the continuous support of the management of the Islamic University.
Faculty of Engineering
The Faculty of Engineering is one of the newest scientific faculties at the Islamic University of Madinah, and it began offering its academic programs in the academic year 1434/1435 AH. The faculty offers scholarships to students covering all countries of the world in line with the mission of the International Islamic University. In accordance with the 2030 vision, the faculty seeks to provide distinguished engineering education according to the latest local and international standards for its students and to promote scientific research activity aimed at contributing to the economic and social development of the local and global community.
College of Science
The college includes the following departments: Mathematics Department, Physics Department, and Chemistry Department. The college awards a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. It also grants a professional master’s degree in industrial laboratories and a master’s degree in science in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. The college has several laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and tools to provide a high quality of education.

The College of Arabic Language was founded by Royal Decree No. (DM/70) dated 7/7/1395, initially named College of Arabic Language and Literature, then changed by the Council of Universities Affairs Decree No. 65 on its sixth session dated 21-24/7/1398.
