About Program

Establishment of the Academic Master’s Program in Physics:

The University Council approved the opening of the International Program (Master of Science in Physics) in the Department of Physics, College of Science, on 09/19/1441 AH.

Program Mission:

Providing distinguished education in physics at the graduate level and conducting basic and applied research with high specifications that meet the needs and requirements of the labor market within the framework of Islamic values.

Program Learning Outcomes

Knowledge and Understanding:

1. Recall the relevant physics concepts and their applications to research.

2. Outline the impact of physics on technology and society.

3. Recognize advanced theoretical, numerical, and experimental models in physics.

4. Describe the state-of-the-art technologies in physics.

Skills:

1. Illustrate specific solutions to problems by research and reasoning.

2. Develop laboratory, modeling and data analysis skills to physics research.

3. Demonstrate self-learning through oral and written presentations.

4. Employ knowledge gained and skills developed to a specific project in the field.

  1. Enabling distinguished Saudi and non-Saudi students who hold a bachelor’s degree in physics to continue their graduate studies at the Islamic University.
