The College of Science at the Islamic University is considered one of the modern colleges that received royal approval for its establishment on 28/05/1431 AH and began its journey, with the grace of Allah, in the academic year 1433/1434 AH. It is one of the main sources for providing society with qualified specialists in various branches of science through offering distinguished programs that foster creativity and advance scientific research in support of the educational and research process and community service.
The college includes the following academic departments: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. It grants a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for male students. The college also houses a number of scientific laboratories equipped with the latest devices and tools to ensure high-quality education.
Currently, the college offers an outstanding graduate program, which includes a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, as well as a Professional Master’s in Industrial Laboratories. This program is the only one of its kind in the Kingdom, aiming to enhance and distinguish the college’s programs and related teaching, research, and specialized activities, as well as to develop the local community, introduce diverse specialized programs, and prepare outstanding researchers. Furthermore, this will pave the way for launching additional postgraduate programs, including doctoral degrees, in the future.
The college strives to build exceptional community partnerships and achieve quality and full academic accreditation. By the grace of Allah, the college obtained conditional academic accreditation for all three of its programs in 2020. It aspires to achieve leadership in accordance with its mission, vision, and objectives.
