Chair of the Department of
Mathematics
The
Department of Mathematics was established in 1433 AH (2012 AD) as one of the
key departments within the Faculty of Science at the Islamic University of
Madinah. Since its inception, the department has embarked on a distinguished
journey of education and scientific research, serving as a vital academic
pillar for other scientific departments within the Faculty, as well as the
College of Computing and the College of Engineering.
The
department is deeply committed to implementing and maintaining high-quality
academic standards. The program administration has diligently reviewed its
Vision, Mission, and the specifications of various programs and courses to
ensure full compliance with the requirements of the National Center for
Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA).
In a
significant milestone, the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program received
Full Accreditation (2024 – 2027) from the National Accreditation Authority. The
department continuously keeps pace with global developments in the educational
process and future-oriented restructuring. Accordingly, the department has
completed the course specifications for both Bachelor's and Master's programs
under the Two-Semester System, in alignment with the University’s strategic
directives.
