About program

Establishment of the Academic Master’s Program in Mathematics:

The university council approved the Master of Science in Mathematics program (Decision No. 345/1440/1441, dated 19 Ramadan 1441 AH).

Program Mission:

Providing distinguished academic service in the field of advanced mathematical sciences and preparing qualified scientific and research cadres for the labor market that supports innovation, sustainability, and community partnership.

  1. The applicant must hold a regular (full-time) bachelor’s degree in mathematics from a Saudi university or a recognized university, with a cumulative GPA of at least “Good.”
  2. General Aptitude Test for University Graduates (Qiyas), Saudi applicants and internal scholarship students must pass the General Aptitude Test for University Graduates with a score of at least 60 out of 100, provided that the test is valid and has not exceeded 5 years from the test date. Students on external scholarships are excused from this requirement.
  3. The applicant must obtain at least one of the following scores: 450 on the TOEFL-PBT, 45 on the TOEFL-IBT, 4 on the IELTS, 60 on the STEP, or an equivalent score, provided that no more than two years have passed since obtaining the English language certificate.
  4. Statement of Purpose: The applicant must submit a Statement of Purpose. The department may admit an applicant without the English language requirement if any of the following conditions apply: The applicant holds the nationality of an English-speaking country. The applicant obtained a bachelor’s degree from an English-speaking country. The applicant commits to providing the English language certificate before being allowed to submit the thesis proposal, and the student bears the academic consequences of failing to submit it.
