The College of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic Studies is the first of its kind in the Islamic world, as no other than the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has ever established such a college before, with a distinguished admission condition of fully memorizing the Holy Qur’an by those who wish to join it. It was established by Royal Decree No. (26511) dated 6/9/1394 AH, in the blessed month of Ramadan based on the recommendation of the Supreme Advisory Council of the university held from 12/4/1394 AH to 20/4/1394 AH. On Monday, 6/10/1394 AH, 21 students began their studies and the numbers increased over the years to graduate a total 1524 students from 75 countries by 1435 AH / 1436 AH.
