Department Mission:
Preparing and qualifying students in language skills and Islamic culture, developing educational curricula, offering training courses in the field of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and serving the local and global community.
Department Objectives:
- Providing students with the language competencies that enable them to speak Arabic and communicate with others.
- Providing scholarship students admitted to the University with the linguistic preparation that enables them to pursue their studies in Arabic at the University’s colleges.
- Teaching Arabic and Islamic culture to interested residents and members of other non-Arabic-speaking communities.
- Preparing and developing curricula for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, along with educational resources and technologies and methods of teaching and learning, in accordance with the latest educational approaches and modern technologies.
- Conducting and encouraging specialized scientific research and studies.
