Department Mission:

Preparing and qualifying students in language skills and Islamic culture, developing educational curricula, offering training courses in the field of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and serving the local and global community.

Department Objectives:

  1. Providing students with the language competencies that enable them to speak Arabic and communicate with others.
  2. Providing scholarship students admitted to the University with the linguistic preparation that enables them to pursue their studies in Arabic at the University’s colleges.
  3. Teaching Arabic and Islamic culture to interested residents and members of other non-Arabic-speaking communities.
  4. Preparing and developing curricula for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, along with educational resources and technologies and methods of teaching and learning, in accordance with the latest educational approaches and modern technologies.
  5. Conducting and encouraging specialized scientific research and studies.
