Program Mission and Objectives

Program Mission:

Preparing specialists in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers who are capable of conducting distinguished scientific research to promote and disseminate the Arabic language and contribute to the development of local and global communities.

Program Objectives:

Preparing qualified specialists to teach Arabic to non-native speakers.

Preparing faculty members (lecturers) and researchers in the field of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.

Providing knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes related to teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.

Producing distinguished scientific research that contributes to advancing the teaching and learning of Arabic among non-native speakers and serving local and global communities.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge:

• Identify the linguistic concepts, principles, and theories, as well as the linguistic and educational knowledge related to the field of foreign language teaching.
• Identify traditional and contemporary approaches, strategies, and linguistic theories in foreign language teaching.

Skills:

• Evaluate the linguistic concepts, principles, and theories, as well as the linguistic and educational knowledge related to the field of foreign language teaching.
• Analyze traditional and contemporary approaches, strategies, and linguistic theories in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
