Website Efficiency and Digital Content Index

In an effort to improve the digital experience of government website visitors and enhance their journey—starting from their search for data and information using browsers, through providing this information and digital services with high quality and efficiency, and ending with them obtaining the information or service smoothly and effectively to meet and proactively exceed their expectations—the Digital Government Authority has developed the "Website Efficiency and Digital Content" index. This is an annual index concerned with measuring the efficiency and quality of government website content according to a number of main perspectives, pillars, and detailed standards based on best local and international practices, in addition to the latest experiences and mechanisms used to improve website visibility.

The importance of the index lies in being an effective strategic tool to enhance the Kingdom's digital presence. It also aims to enable government entities to improve the efficiency level of their websites by analyzing technical aspects and performance, and the quality of the digital content they provide, focusing on a set of pillars and standards that affect the efficiency of these websites, while highlighting their content on a systematic basis that ensures continuous improvement in their ranking to appear on the first pages of search engine results.
