The General Administration of Digital Transformation at the Islamic University of Madinah is the strategic enabler for leading institutional digital transformation. It is organizationally linked to the Office of the University President, in accordance with the organizational structure approved by the University President’s Resolution No. (9144720507) dated 09/06/1447 AH.
It plays a pivotal role in governing digital initiatives and services, developing the institutional and technical architecture, and enabling integration among systems, platforms, and data. This contributes to raising the efficiency of institutional performance, improving the beneficiary experience, and enhancing the sustainability of digital business.
Under the leadership and supervision of His Excellency the General Supervisor of Digital Transformation, Dr. Majid Amin Hariri, the Administration—represented by the General Administration of Digital Transformation—works on building an integrated digital ecosystem based on effective governance, innovation, and data-driven decision-making. This includes implementing best practices and national standards issued by the Digital Government Authority, primarily the fundamental standards for digital transformation, thereby enhancing the university’s readiness in national measurement indicators and elevating levels of compliance and institutional excellence.
The Administration also plays an integrative role in aligning technical and institutional operations with relevant entities within the organizational structure and executive bodies, represented by: the Information Technology Administration, the E-Learning Center, the Data Management Office, the Enterprise Architecture Administration, and the General Administration of Cybersecurity. This is achieved within a governance framework that ensures the integration of roles, raises the quality of digital services, achieves the university’s strategic targets, and contributes to supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
