College of Science

The Department of Chemistry was established in 1433 AH as one of the departments within the College of Science at the Islamic University. It focuses on studying matter, its properties, reactions, and scientific and industrial applications. As a core scientific unit, the department supports various academic pathways across the university through courses that serve multiple colleges, while also strengthening students’ laboratory and research skills. 

The department is equipped with modern research laboratories that contribute to developing scientific capabilities. It is committed to attracting distinguished faculty, providing an advanced learning environment, and promoting scientific research that serves the community and contributes to the creation of knowledge.
