Dr. Thulkifl al-Bakri
Minister of Islamic Affairs in Malaysia
Dr. Thulkifl al-Bakri is one of the pioneering graduates of the Islamic University who successfully conveyed the University's message to the world. He is among the most prominent figures who have served Islam and Muslims in his country, Malaysia, and the broader Islamic world. His contributions have transcended his region, reaching Muslims globally through the conferences he attended, the academic papers he presented, and his significant publications that have benefited Muslims worldwide in Arabic, English, and his native Malaysian language. Dr. Thulkifl also contributed to the translation of Sahih al-Bukhari into the Malaysian language, as well as Al-Kafi, explanation of Forty Hadith of An-Nawawi and other works. He has authored numerous publications aimed at raising awareness in the local and regional communities on topics such as moderation, combating extremism and terrorism, and fighting corruption and crime.
Dr. Saeed Shaheem Ali
Minister of Islamic Affairs in the Maldives
Dr. Saeed Shaheem Ali is one of the pioneering graduates of the Islamic University, a name well-known among Muslims in the Maldives for his significant achievements in establishing numerous Islamic institutions in his country. He is among the most prominent scholars contributing to the scientific movement through various publications, academic works, and notable participation in conferences related to Islamic Sharia.
Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Luh
A Pioneer in Knowledge and Charitable Work
Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Luh is one of the pioneering graduates of the Islamic University and a dedicated alumnus who studied at the University for nearly two decades. He graduated from the Islamic University in 1418 AH after beginning his studies there from the secondary level and continuing through to his postgraduate education. Dr. Muhammad excelled in the fields of Aqidah (Islamic Creed) and Hadith sciences. He has made significant contributions to his home country, Senegal, and the African community at large. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Union of African Scholars and later became the Head of the Fatwa Committee in the Union, among other scholarly and honorary positions. Dr. Muhammad Ahmad has authored several specialised books on Islamic Sharia, as well as writings on raising children from the perspective of Islamic principles. Additionally, he has authored works addressing various jurisprudential and social issues.
