Establishment of the Department:
The Department of Linguistics was established with the founding of the College. Since its establishment, the Department has contributed to supporting the University’s educational mission by offering specialized academic programs and participating in the delivery of programs for other colleges. It has also played a prominent role in enriching academic activity in the field of linguistics by preparing distinguished researchers, developing academic projects, and providing various community services.

The Department of Media was established within the College of Dawah and Fundamentals of Religion on 28/9/1432 AH. A decision was issued to transfer it to the College of Arabic Language on 7/4/1439 AH. Since its establishment, the Department has contributed to supporting the University’s educational mission by offering specialized academic programs. It has also played a prominent role in enriching academic activity in the field of media by preparing distinguished researchers and providing various community services.
