About the Center


Overview

The updated comprehensive organizational structure of the University, issued on 12/3/1445 AH, included among its research centers a center titled Center for the Translation of the Meanings of the Holy Qur'an and Its Sciences, under the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. According to the organizational structure, the Center comprises three departments: the Department of the Translation of the Meanings of the Holy Qur'an, the Department of Translation of Islamic Sciences and Arabic Language, and the Research and Development Department.

Through the activation of these departments, the Center seeks to establish specialized units dedicated to translating the academic output of the Faculty of the Holy Qur'an and other Islamic studies and Arabic language departments into various languages. The Center is committed to producing standardized translations based on the latest and most advanced global translation methodologies, leveraging artificial intelligence technologies, contributing to enriching global culture with authentic Islamic and Arabic perspectives, and making this scholarly output accessible to knowledge seekers worldwide. These efforts contribute to strengthening the University's international academic reputation.

A specialized research center in the translation of the meanings of the Holy Qur'an, Qur'anic sciences, Islamic and linguistic studies, and contemporary translation studies, striving for integration with research institutions while providing reliable community services.

Producing reliable translations and distinguished critical research, providing technologies that foster creativity and research innovation, and promoting community partnerships and sustainable development.

Strategic Goals:

  1. Translating scholarly output in the Holy Qur'an, Qur'anic sciences, Islamic studies, and the Arabic language into other languages, while increasing the global citation impact of the University's faculty research.
  2. Strengthening collaboration among academic entities and research centers within the University and establishing partnerships with organizations engaged in translation activities outside the University to implement joint translation projects.
  3. Leveraging the linguistic diversity of the Islamic University to enhance reliable linguistic resources that support translation activities.
  4. Organizing specialized conferences and training programs that contribute to improving the quality of the Center's outputs.
