Objectives of the Center
1. To provide direct administrative and technical supervision of the Central Library at the Islamic University of Madinah.
2. To preserve, organize, and prepare various information resources for use; collect scholarly sources and references; and make them available in libraries for students of knowledge and researchers.
3. To preserve the scholarly manuscript heritage through the original manuscripts available at the Deanship, or copies in microfilm format; cooperate with specialized libraries in collecting manuscripts; facilitate researchers’ efforts in editing, publishing, and studying these manuscripts for academic benefit.
4. To serve all academic programs offered by the University to students of knowledge, researchers, and all members of society by providing information resources in their various forms and supplying all the requirements of the University’s curricula.
5. To provide an attractive educational and knowledge-based environment for students of knowledge, researchers, faculty members, and all members of society, and to assist them in their studies and scholarly research that contributes new scientific values to human knowledge and helps develop their fields of specialization.
6. To exchange all types of information resources with various libraries around the world, particularly libraries in the Islamic and Arab worlds, and to ensure the acquisition of sufficient resources documenting different cultures, research, and distinguished experiences, in order to meet the needs of students, faculty members, and researchers.
7. To enrich knowledge by offering diverse cultural programs, including lectures, seminars, courses, and workshops, in service of University staff and the local and global community.
