Short university programs are one of the initiatives of the Human Capability Development Program being developed by the National eLearning Center, with the aim of acquiring skills that are compatible with the rapid changes in the labor market.
What are Short University Programs? They are programs offered in an e-learning format consisting of at least two courses, with a minimum of 3 credit hours and a maximum of 23 credit hours. They provide a certificate for a focused learning process covering specific skills or competencies that concludes with an assessment. They are recognized by academic institutions and employers, and can be stacked (accumulated) to obtain higher academic qualifications.
The initiative aims to launch 350 short university programs in partnership with universities and employers in specialized sectors over the course of four years.
The Blackboard E-Learning Management System manages the educational process both synchronously and asynchronously. It provides a secure learning environment where instructors present their courses and lectures by incorporating multimedia (text, images, audio, video, and graphics).
