About the Administration

With its global mission, the Islamic University continues its vigorous efforts to achieve its desired objectives and to attain a distinguished academic level in its educational and research outputs. This requires the qualification of academic personnel and the establishment of a strong academic foundation that serves as a resource for both the University and society, enabling the University to fulfill its developmental role in general.

The University places great emphasis on scholarships and on developing programs and mechanisms that enable its staff members to continue their pursuit of knowledge and keep pace with developments in modern sciences, which will bring significant benefits to them, the University, and society.

The University has also sought to establish a comprehensive vision for sending its staff members on scholarships to leading universities around the world, so that scholars return carrying the banner of knowledge, contributing to the completion and development of what their predecessors have built and helping advance the nation.

The Scholarship Administration is affiliated with the University Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. It is responsible for managing the affairs of the University’s scholarship recipients both inside and outside the Kingdom.

The Scholarship Administration serves as a liaison between the University and the Saudi cultural missions in the countries to which the University’s staff members are sent on scholarships. Communication between the University and these cultural missions is conducted through the Safir Program, provided by the Ministry of Education.

This role can be explained as follows: The Administration carries out the necessary procedures to convey the requests and requirements of scholarship recipients from their place of scholarship to their respective colleges, as well as the matters that colleges need to communicate to their scholarship recipients. It follows up on these matters until an administrative decision is issued when necessary, such as in cases involving extension of the scholarship, changing the university, changing the specialization, academic trips, attending conferences and training courses, and terminating the scholarship.
