Academic excellence in universities is considered one of the most fundamental pillars for advancing the quality of higher education. It integrates program governance, curriculum development, and the enhancement of learning outcomes in alignment with national and international standards. Academic excellence also encompasses the adoption of a culture of assessment and evaluation, alongside the promotion of interdisciplinary programs to meet labor market demands.
The Academic Excellence Center at the Islamic University (formerly the Academic Initiatives Center) was established pursuant to the University President’s Resolution No. (914459605) dated 01/04/1447H. The Center is administratively affiliated with the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs, based on the Council of Universities Affairs Resolution No. (2/16/45), which approved the comprehensive organizational structure of the Islamic University, and its subsequent amendment under Resolution No. (9144711748) dated 15/04/1447H.
