The Master’s in Data Science is an analytical program designed from the ground up to focus on state-of-the-art systems, tools, and algorithms for storing, retrieving, processing, and analyzing big data. The main goal of the program is to build systems that coherently integrate the full cycle of data: from data collection to data visualization and data synthesis through human-computer interaction. Each student is required to complete prior to graduation a semester thesis and take several core courses covering the different dimensions of data science.
The main task of the Master's program on Data Science is to prepare highly qualified graduates in the field of data science to hold leadership positions in the government, academic or industrial sectors within or outside the Kingdom and to be engaged in professional life and successful individuals with Islamic ethics and principles. The program will also prepare students to pursue a doctoral program in data science or other areas of computer science.
