Bonding theories in covalent and coordination compounds such as VB, CFT, MO as well as the splitting of orbitals (d) in complexes with different geometric shapes and the factors affecting them - Defects in geometric shapes of crystals and types of defects. Binary and ternary complexes and factors affecting their formation – Reactions of coordinated ligands in complexes- Catalytic hydrolysis of coordinated amino acid esters and peptides.
